WoW Daily New Player Article 2: Character Creation

When you are on the Character Creation Screen, in the middle should be your character, on the very bottom should be your screen, In the left there should be a bar, on the right there should be a couple boxes.

Left bar
Race - Your race actually does a lot. First of all it decides your faction (Horde/Alliance), On the horde the races are, Goblin, Undead, Orc, Tauren, Blood Elf, and Troll. On the Alliance side the races are, Gnome, Dwarf, Human, Draenel, Night Elf, and Worgen. Race also effects where your starting area is. Also, each race gets a small stat boost depending on your race (Some races get special spells). In a later guide I may go more in depth with races.

Gender - Em, pretty self-explanatory

Class - Classes effects your fighting style, different classes get different spells. There are 10 classes. Death Night, Druid, Hunter, Mage, Paladin, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, and Warrior. Each class (Besides Warrior, and Death Knight) has certain races you cannot play with that class. For example, Gnomes cannot be hunters. I may go more in depth in Classes in a later guide.

Physical Appearance - This is how you can change how your character looks. you can change its Skin Color, its Face, its Facial Hair, and other things based on its Race.

Boxes on the right
Race History/Class Description - This will tell you the advantages and disadvantages to your class and race. It will also tell the Story behind your race and class.

Name Selection
Name selection might be the longest step, try to think of a clever name, but you need to pick a name that no one has picked on your server. If you are on a small server, this should be a little bit easier than if you are on a bigger server.

Have Fun, Game Hard.
